Over the last 20 years in collaboration with academia, industry, and workforce development agencies Jason Vogel has successfully developed and implemented workforce development programs that put people to work. After graduating from Sonoma State University in 2000, Jason went on to work as Marketing Coordinator/ Consultant for the  Small Business Administration Office at EL Camino College Small Business Development Center, Director of the Center for Training and Development (CTD) in the College of Extended and International Education, and the OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), Director of Workforce Development for a local safety council, , while simultaneously working as Regional Liaison for Chabot –Las Positas Community College District (CLPCCD).

 

In these roles Jason created workforce development programs that aligned with various post-secondary certificate and degree programs to help train military veterans, disadvantaged, dislocated, youth and adult participants and put them to work with national contractors in the construction, utility, energy, and safety fields.

 

In January of 2016 Jason co-founded Career Expansion, Inc. with the mission of providing job driven vocational training aligned with post-secondary certificates and degrees that lead to careers in Construction, Utilities, Energy, and Safety. Since CEI’s inception - the partnerships with Coastline Community College (our post-secondary educational partner), the North America’s Building Trades, and industry partners have driven the success and continued growth of CEI’s programs.  Jason will continue to ensure that these partnerships thrive as well as our clients.

RAYMOND MOOREHEAD

Marianna received her Bachelor's from the California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo in Business Administration concentrating in Marketing Management. 

Now working for CEI, she has discovered that she enjoys making connections with the students, learning about their stories and taking initiative to offer assistance in any which way possible that may help them with their life goals and ambitions. She plans to use her marketing skills in order to create an environment where the students feel comfortable and have the ability to ask questions and receive consistent help.

ERIC GLOVER

Eric Glover is an Occupational Safety and Health Professional with over 15 years of experience in regulatory compliance and risk reduction for multiple industries including petrolium, construction, and government. It was during this time that he gained experience in implementing large scale S&H programs for multi million dollars projects. Eric is passionate about work place safety and those who have had the opportunity to work with him or participate in his classes have experienced that passion firsthand. Eric leads a group of dedicated safety professionals who share his passion and understand real world business concerns, while finding creative, effective and affordable solutions that benefit both workers and employers. He is a practicing CHST that enjoys golf and volunteering with at risk teens and young adults in his free time.

WILLIE ROCKET

Willie Rockett has over ten years of 

construction and refinery experience.

He has worked as an air boss technician, catalyst technician, refinery mechanic, safety professional etc. He has facilitated safety meetings for million dollar projects while working for one of the safest refineries in the  world. Willie has been teaching for the past 3 years and loves it. What Willie loves most about teaching is helping his students learn about safety and better their lives.In his spare time he watches his favorite teams: the Lakers and the Cowboys. He also enjoys hikes, long walks under the moon (lol) and the gym.

After graduating Cum Laude with a BS from University of Massachusetts- Amherst in 1999- Dave gained valuable experience early in his career holding positions such as Pharmaceutical and Biotech Territory Manager and Sustainability Operations Supervisor for several Fortune 500 companies.

 

In 2007 Dave followed his lifelong passion for construction and assisted his brother in establishing a successful residential and commercial construction company. Dave was Superintendent on many of the projects, and as the company’s Safety Officer he also became proficient in construction safety and OSHA regulations. Following this Dave became a licensed plumbing contractor and started his own successful plumbing company, while continuing to progress his safety knowledge and becoming a Department of Labor authorized OSHA instructor.

 

For the last 7 years Dave has utilized his construction and safety experience in helping to develop successful job driven workforce development programs focused on the construction, utilities, energy, and safety that incorporate nationally recognized curricula, and assist both community participants as well as employers.

DAVID DUDDY

Doris Harrington received her Master’s in Social Work with an emphasis on Social Change Innovation from the University of Southern California. Most recently, Doris worked with the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, WorkSource Center.

Doris now seeks to use her education and past experiences with workforce development in more innovative ways with CEI. She is eager to develop the best practices to reintegrate our most vulnerable individuals that are negatively affected by incarceration, disability and homelessness back into the workforce.

A Dynamic, strong, self-motivated, and take charge individual. These are some of the descriptions that have been attached to Tony's name during his professional career. He has prided himself on his abilities to be flexible as well as assertive in the business world and believe that those attributes helped in forming his successful track record.
His previous roles of Marketing Manager, Business Services Manager, Management of WIOA Operations, and currently Workforce development consultant, have assisted him in gaining overall higher performances.  Working in industries ranging from community colleges, Nonprofits, corporations, and consumer products have given him the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge.  This allows him to fit into almost any scenario presented.  He is goal driven and able to work in a fast paced environment to service both internal as well as external customers.

Roy has over 7 years of experience in Program Development and Supplemental Instruction with Los Angeles Community College District. After graduating as Valedictorian from Los Angeles Southwest College, Roy was accepted and transferred to the University of Southern California, Sol Price School of Public Policy where he studied Urban Planning and Development. “As a math instructor I have always found it personally gratifying being able to aid my students in their understanding of mathematical concepts and professional development. I realize that my experience is a driving factor in my overall success, and my ability to share my life experience strategies of success with those around me is now being used by many,” said Roy.

Allan Bey 

Allan has been involved in safety training and curriculum development in conjunction with  North America's Building Trades Unions and Los Angeles Unified school district. His goal in education is to create viable and competitive construction workers, foremen, managers, inspectors, and safety personnel. Before becoming a teacher he held a number of positions in the construction industry as an operational manager, safety attendant, carpenter, electrician, and machine operator.
